Birmingham Forward with Kinetic
Birmingham Forward – the voice of the city’s business and professional community – has awarded its PR contract to boutique, Jewellery Quarter consultancy Kinetic Communications after a four-way pitch.
“There are 320,000 professionals in the city across every sector and discipline,” said Richard Brennan, Birmingham Forward chief executive, “but we currently only reach around 20% of them.
“Kinetic won over the PR sub-committee because they showed us how we would build both membership and engagement rates by adding value. Some of their ideas take us out of our comfort zone but we welcome the challenge.”
Angela Podmore, MD of Kinetic, said, “The whole team’s thrilled. It’s a prudent fee but rich with scope and opportunity to make a real difference to our great city. Talk’s cheap but watch this space.
“Our involvement in both Birmingham Forward and Birmingham Future over the years has supported individual development – both personal and professional – as well as led to business wins.
“By working closely with both the Birmingham Forward and Birmingham Future teams, we hope to really highlight the value and relevance that such organisations – especially in economically-tough times – add to business and professional services firms.”
The PR contract starts 1 September and will be reviewed annually.
