What we do

Birmingham Forward's role is to provide a platform for our members through lobbying and events that ensures our 21 sectors are clearly represented to key decision makers locally, regionally and nationally. We actively lobby and campaign on relevant issues where we believe we can make a difference on behalf of our members to our region. We are now actively engaged in ensuring that our members and their colleagues who are being affected by the downturn are given the best help and support as they look to re-evaluate their careers. Having spent a long time attracting some of the best graduates to our city we want to ensure we can retain the majority of them, even at this time.

Birmingham Forward recognises the crucial importance of developing a diverse workforce to reflect the changing demographics of our region and through the creation of Birmingham Professional DiverCity and a range of focused initiatives we seek to foster relationships with key partners with whom we can deliver this agenda. Our events programme offers a wide variety of different opportunities to network and learn alongside your senior professional colleagues. With more than 45 events a year from debates on city issues, through general networking lunches and keynote speakers to the Chairman's annual gala dinner, there truly is something for everyone.
